After various business acquisitions (with different cultures, processes, IT-systems) a global investment goods company had to be organised in such a way that projects could be planned, offered and professionally dealt with jointly.
The Performex Strategy
Implementation of a common ERP System (SAP R/3) while starting to adopt process harmonisation and a process oriented organisation.
Setting up of an extensive project: Process-IT. For the preparation of the harmonised processes we integrated a maximum number of experts from the various locations. Creation of multiplicators for the realisation of the changes.
Reproduction of the processes and accompanying documents (such as procedural instructions, checklists, guidelines) in a suitable IT tool with ‘swim lanes’ (in varying degrees of detail) on the intranet.
Transfer of more responsibility into the organisation (Realisation of contracts in project teams).
On the basis of harmonised processes we implemented uniform ERP-systems (SAP R/3) as well as other uniform IT-tools especially in the engineering department.
